What happens when the answers you've always been given about God leave you with more fear than faith?

There’s a difference between knowing the words of Scripture and knowing the One who spoke them.

Jason shares a moving story about two men reciting the 23rd Psalm. One knew every word and delivered it beautifully. The other barely made it through the first two words, yet his heartfelt connection brought an entire room to tears. What made the difference? One knew the Psalm. The other knew the Author.

Through scripture, God speaks to us. Take Jeremiah 29: Jason reminds us that God has a beautiful future filled with hope for each of us. But are we really listening? Are we taking time to hear what He’s saying, or are we rushing through our relationship with Him like a quick phone call that ends with “Love ya, bye”?

This week, Jason challenges us to slow down, make God’s Word personal, and move beyond simply reading about Him to truly hearing His voice.

What happened to the thousands of promises God made in the Old Testament? Are they still available to us today?

This week, Jason explores Leviticus 26, Deuteronomy 28, 2 Corinthians 1, and Hebrews 8 to reveal the difference between the old covenant and the new. Under the old covenant, blessings were tied to our obedience. But through Jesus, everything changed. We are no longer qualified by our own performance, but by His finished work.

God’s promises in Christ are YES! So why are we still living as though we’re waiting to be qualified? Jason challenges us to stop expecting the curse and start declaring the blessings. To pray the promises is to believe they’re already ours through Christ—and to live with the confidence of sons and daughters who know they are blessed, forgiven, and free.

What if forgiveness isn’t something we have to keep asking for, but something Jesus has already accomplished once and for all?

This week, Jason continues exploring the incredible depth of God’s love and how understanding that love changes everything—including how we forgive. Through Psalm 103, Romans 4, Hebrews 8, and other passages, he reminds us that love keeps no record of wrongs. And since God is love, what does that tell us about how He sees us?

When we stop seeing ourselves through the lens of sin and condemnation and begin believing what God says about us, we can finally move beyond managing our failures and start living in the freedom of forgiveness. And just as we learn to love others through understanding how deeply we’re loved, we learn to forgive by understanding how completely we’ve been forgiven.

What if loving others well begins not with trying harder to love, but with finally understanding how completely we are loved? This week, Jason explores Ephesians 3 and Paul’s prayer that we would grasp just how wide, long, high, and deep the love of Christ really is—until we are filled with the fullness of God.

When love is conditional, we’re often watching for a response: Did they notice? Did they appreciate it? Did they give something back? But God’s love isn’t transactional. It has already been freely given through Christ. As we learn to receive that love without earning it, we become a place for it to rest—and from that fullness, we can give it away without keeping score.

Jason closes our Who We’ve Been Created to Be series at the communion table, returning to 1 Corinthians 11 and the words, “Do this in remembrance of Me.” For many, communion has become associated with examining whether we’re worthy enough to receive it. But Jason challenges us to see it differently: communion isn’t about proving our worthiness—it’s about remembering and proclaiming what Jesus has already accomplished.

The new covenant says the work is finished. Grace is a gift. We are righteous, accepted, and brought into direct relationship with the Father. Every time we take the bread and the cup, we’re not begging God to make us worthy. We’re declaring our belief in what Jesus did and remembering who we’ve been created to be.

Jason once wore a path into his driveway walking back and forth, declaring what he was learning about his identity: I am a son of God. I am righteous. I am free. I am blessed. He wasn’t describing what he could see—he was speaking what he was learning to believe.

This week, Jason challenges us to do the same. Take the living Word of God, make it personal, and speak it back to Him. Instead of allowing circumstances to tell us who we are, we can continually remind ourselves of what God has already said.

This week, Jason continues exploring the power of the Word, beginning in John 1: “In the beginning the Word already existed.” From creation itself to the words Jesus spoke, Scripture shows us that God’s Word doesn’t simply communicate—it brings life and accomplishes what it was sent to do.

But what if hearing the Word isn’t meant to be one-way? Jason explores the idea that revelation comes through hearing God’s Word, believing it, and then speaking it back. Jesus said He only spoke what He heard from the Father. Maybe we’ve been invited to do the same—not begging God from a place of uncertainty, but confidently asking for what we need to accomplish the work He’s given us to do.
